Liepaja Shipyard company is the biggest enterprise in Baltic region, specializing in repair of marine and industrial diesel engines, as well as in production of certain types of engines.
In addition, the company performs programs on construction of low and medium tonnage ships, including special purpose ships and floating docks.
In total, over the period from 2000 to 2012, the company implemented the repair of more than 280 ships, 2000 units of mechanical equipment, including diesel engines, electric or diesel compressors, as well as pumps.
The company has Recognition Certificate of Russian Maritime register of Shipping№ 12.00116.123 valid till 05.09.2017, the Certificate of Latvian Maritime Inspection of Maritime safety № 12.0051.06 valid till 18.04.2017, and the Certificate “ISO 9001:2008” № 13.0874.026 valid till 13.07.2016.

At stage of preparation to implement the shipbuilding program, the building sites and launching arrangement for launch of the ships hulls length up to 105 meters from shore have been created. The annual capacity of the ship assembly production was not less than 1200 tons of steel. The first-class engineers, shipbuilders and workers from abroad, including several dozen assemblers, welders and pipefitters from Vietnam were attracted to carry out such program. Furthermore, complete reconstruction of dock facilities has been implemented with the purpose to get an opportunity of simultaneous construction of not less than 4 – 5 low tonnage ships with main dimensions of length - up to 56.0 m, width - up to 8,2 m, and draft - up to 3.0 m. Egypt and Libya were main potential customers, with whom the negotiations have been conducted and agreements have been achieved.
The following important agreements, related to shipbuilding program of our enterprise have been achieved during last years in spite of problems, created by global financial crisis and by political crises in number of countries:

construction of six dry cargo vessels with length 96 meters and width 12 meters for the Dutch private customer;

construction of Floating Dock on Nasser lake in Egypt for Ministry of Defense;

construction of shipbuilding-shiprepair plant in Bengazi port in Libyan Jamahiriya for Ministry of Defense of Libya.
